It was indeed a great pleasure participating in the Sustainability Summit in Abu Dhabi. The topics were with no doubt of great interest to my country, Egypt, in general and the ICT sector specifically.
The diversity of the participants from around the world sharing their best practices, policies and experiences have given another dimension to the event. I would also like to mention that the “Digital society” topic, which has been discussed thoroughly during the event is considered as one of Egypt’s ICT strategic priorities and a major component for sustainable development. Hence, the value added from participating in such a summit was immense.
The Summit was a good opportunity for me to present Egypt’s strategy of ICT, as well as the latest innovations and ways forward in front a variety of participants coming from different backgrounds and having different experiences.
I believe that the final report and the Sustainable Development Newsletter will reveal great opportunities in areas of common interest for both government and business relations in the relevant field.
